New Visitors
The number of visitors to the site that have visited the site for the first time ever during a particular period of time.
Online Marketing or Internet Marketing
Internet marketing has two components — search marketing and social marketing.

Search marketing — also called search engine marketing (SEM) — means making sure that your website has better, more authoritative content than your direct online competitors.

Social marketing involves a long-term commitment to establishing and nurturing mutually-beneficial online relationships that will help you improve your products and services, strengthen your reputation, and drive traffic to your site that you may otherwise have to concede to your competitors.
Optimization
The process of creating web pages as perfect or effective as possible for both end users and search engines.
Outbound Link
A link from a web site to a different site.

A numeric value that Google uses to represent how popular a Web page is based on Google’s calculations of the number of sites that link to yours.
Permalink
A link to a specific entry on a blog, rather than to the blog front page, which can be expected to change daily.
PFI
Pay for Inclusion — a program that allows web sites to pay for guaranteed inclusion in a search engine index.
PPC
Pay per Click – A type of search engine marketing where the advertiser pays a certain amount of money to the host every time an end user clicks a link to the specified site.
